Joan Stokes appears wearing the hoodie that Virgil used to wear in season 1 of Sanders Sides (2016), which is now worn by the Anxiety Guy in "Sanders Shorts".
As Thomas Sanders still uses the old Vine app to record the "Sanders Shorts" and the app is still constrained to the old time limit of 6 seconds, Thomas had to insert several close-up shots of himself during Joan Stokes' rap to cover the fact that he had to shoot the rap in 6 second segments. He almost intended to use the regular phone camera to shoot the whole rap in one shot, and hope that the difference in quality wouldn't be too vast, but Joan suggested him that idea.
