'Sprite' was inspired by 'The Stolen Child', a poem by W B Yeats and a song by The Waterboys. A nod to the poet was in the naming of the mythical woods where the action takes place.
The girl's scream was recorded later, after the shoot, as the location is a popular dog-walkers area. With only one day to shoot, it made no sense to attract undue attention which could have delayed things.
