The 70s were for Quebec cinema a period where movies were focused on cashing with the actual TV and Theater stars instead of in-depth story lines (with rare exceptions like "Mon Oncle Antoine").

This movie reunites some of the cashable superstars at the time: the late Jean-Guy Moreau with his imitations of well known Canadian politicians do run the show along with Yvan Ducharme, Danielle Ouimet, Roger Garand and then late country star Willie Lamothe. Many others do cameos like Gilles Latulippe, Jean Guilda, Dominique Michel, Clemence DesRochers, Paul Berval, and so on.

Storyline revolves about a single bank employee, Sam, whose manipulative brother-in-law Yvan lies to Sam's boss Willie, that he is settling the account of a Quebec political party accountant, Mr Geoffroy, then those of a nun coming from Texas. However, the latter is trying to avoid journalists at all costs, suspected of being linked to a sex scandal. In the other hand, Sam's wife, Marie, suspects her husband with infidelities, as she is tired by his childish imitations. However, by some luck, Yvan saves the day...

A story which has its moments (at least we taste some of Mr.Moreau's talents of impersonation, including being a "hooker" and a nun), but the most confusing is at the nun's convent, where Sam tries to hide from his boss, his cronies and Geoffroy itself.

A fine moment to pass if you are curious about Quebec 70s culture...
