With the help of his enigmatic live-in girlfriend Abby (Catherine Corcoran, Terrifier), Richard leads Seth down a psychosexual rabbit hole wherein luxury and temptation are intermingled with treachery and taboo.

Shown at the Nevermore Film Festival on March 8-10, 2019. Won both the Jury Award and the Audience Award for Best Feature.

The first thing Richard tells Seth is "That's cold by now," referring to some food that's been sitting out while Richard was waiting for Seth to arrive. That line occurs again at a pivotal point in the film.

This interpersonal thriller is essentially a monster-in-the-house film and is totally effective as such. Tucci's committed performance buoys the film, the twist at the end is probably one that you won't see coming (and one that will prompt you to enjoy reconsidering previous moments in the film, like when Richard destroys his hearing aid while swimming), and Corcoran's final line is great.

This film blew me away when I watched it. The use of one setting telling a truly engaging story reminded me of the breakfast club's use of the school. I love the way the shots were composed to truly compliment and enhance the acting. Acting overall was outstanding and for the most part extraordinarily well thought out. The use of long drawn out shots to increase suspense was truly masterful and the combination of cinematography and editing overall made the movie seamless and engaging. If I could give this movie a 10/10 I would but because this film was so great it made the "bad" parts stick out like a sore thumb. The main character Seth made many decisions that didn't make sense and he wasn't a character that I could truly invest myself in. For example, the buildup to the point where he kills Richard was amazing, though, Seth's belief that Richard was physically abusive wasn't really fully developed to me. The mood swings were apparent but Richard never truly hurt Abby or Seth having it seeming like his intent was to kill. Seth's character was just a bit underdeveloped. Other than that an outstanding job to all that worked on that film and I wanted to say I truly enjoyed it and can't wait to see more from these talented people. Definitely recommend to anyone.

What a phenomenal flick! I was riveted to my seat, trying to figure out what was REALLY going on. I'm not going to say any more; you'll have to see it yourself! Kudos to you Erik, and your gifted team. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Wow this is a real thriller with the strange uneasiness and intensity you will need to buckle your seatbelt for.The casting and the setting for this thriller are reminiscent of a well crafted Hitchcock and more recently the strange disturbing series" Room 104 ".. Goose bumps guaranteed.!

The quietness of the New Milford green where I viewed Long Lost stands in sharp contrast to the restlessness of this mystery thriller. The film keeps you wondering what just happened only to be followed by another unimaginable twist in the story. As always, the smooth integration of cast and audio/visual effects reflect the Bloomquist signature of success. So be on the lookout for this latest creation, where there is always more to the story.

My wife and I saw this "rollercoaster" of a film at the New Milford, CT film festival. The film takes you on a psychological rollercoaster ride right from the opening scene of entering the security gate and taking the initial slow ride up the long and winding driveway. From there you are taken on a ride that you will soon not forget. It is a ride that has many ups and downs and plays with your mind with many twisting emotional scenes. You are never quite sure or comfortable with what awaits you beyond the next turn. What is just as remarkable is that this is superbly accomplished with only three main characters. Even while the credits role, you are left thinking, "What the hell just happened?" To say any thing else may ruin the ride, so please see this movie if you have the chance and buckle up for one hell of a ride.

Long Lost grabbed me from the beginning. I've been talking about the film since it screened at the Reading FilmFEST. Well written, photographed and acted it's now one of my favorite thrillers. It's uncomfortable to watch AND I highly recommend it! I'm eager to see it with friends once it's available. Looking forward to more from The Bloomquist brothers and Adam Weppler.

I went into this film with no expectations and was blown away. This movie floored me- a low budget, high concept film with a great cast, original script, and intellectuallly stimulating themes of loneliness, identity, and Voyerism. Check this out for an under the radar slow burn.

I was both unsettled and captivated from the very beginning. All of the actors in the film are intriguing and distinct. They all take the classic horror/suspense archetypes and creatively make them their own. The vibe of the film reminded me a lot of The Invitation, which has become one of my favorite thrillers, and this surpassed it. If you like your mind being messed with, with a satisfying pay off in the end...this certainly is the movie for you.

My favorite movies at this year's Nevermore Festival in Durham, NC. In fact, one of my favorite Nevermore movies of all time! So smart, so funny. There is a genuine tenseness that keeps you on edge, with quirky humor that takes you by surprise. See it!

Saw this at Nevermore 2019, and we were tense the whole time, even when we were laughing! Wonderful acting, amazing set and the best directing of the whole festival.

I saw Long Lost at the Lone Star Film Festival and didn't know what to expect, but was soon fixated on every moment wondering "who are these people and what will happen next?" One moment there's an intentionally uncomfortable scene, the next you're laughing at the comedic imagery, shocked, intrigued, sympathetic, and then you're pulled back into the mystery that beautifully sews these moods together while constantly keeping you engaged in the story.

What the heck is this movie about?! Nothing happens, it's all about the twist at the end, and that's not enough to save it. A mystery needs to have interesting things happening as it unfolds, and this film is just endless dialogue with no action. Without the ending, the film is all silly contests and unlikeable characters. For a good low-budget puzzle movie, see Blood Punch (2014). Props to Nicholas Tucci who convincingly portrays Richard as a rich frat boy blowhard.

Suspenseful and sexy, Long Last delivers a top notch psychological thriller at it's finest. The Director, Bloomquist, pulls you into this dark tale with a looming ominous tone that keeps you guessing until the credits roll. It drove me crazy in a great way. Can not wait to watch it again.

From the opening scene to the final credits, this creative and intense indie captivates the viewer. The small but talented cast creates iconic characters that will haunt you long after you've left the theater. Exquisite directing and cinematography provide the foundation for a film that is both darkly comic and deeply unsettling. "Black Mirror" meets Hitchcock...

"What the heck is going on in this movie?!" is what I kept asking myself throughout this film, and I am still asking. Supposedly this film has to be seen twice to really get it. I submit that there's not that much to get.

Nothing happens in this film. The twist ending that explains everything does not save it. A mystery needs to have something interesting happening as it unfolds, and this film is just endless dialogue with no action. Silly contests pass for story milestones. Unlikable characters pass for story development.

A good puzzle movie is an interesting story that turns out to have another level completely. (Think about The Sixth Sense: The kid sees dead people throughout the whole movie, then it turns out something else has been happening right in front of us.) This is a boring story that has a convenient explanation. Even if the second viewing is more interesting, is it really worth sitting through the first viewing? For a good low-budget puzzle movie, see Blood Punch (2014).

Props to Nicholas Tucci who convincingly portrays Richard as a rich frat boy douchebag.
