Writer/Director, Gage Oxley decided to make the film the day after dislocating and fracturing his knee.

The cast were originally in talks with Gage for another short film, Mephistopheles, which was dropped to make this film.

The short film hopes to see itself in many festivals, as well as awards evenings.

It is based on secret, true events.

The filming at Leeds/Bradford International Airport was helped by air giant Jet2, they are listed in the final credits.

The title for the film 'The Enigma', was very nearly scrapped several times. Oxley wanted his 'Director Trademark' to be all one-worded titles, which would tie in with his other films- 'Asylum' and 'Suffer', unfortunately another film called 'Enigma' was being released in 2013.

Writer/Director Gage Oxley originally wrote 5 different endings each with drastically different endings to characters.

Nearly half of the budget was spent on the characters' costumes - lab coats and military clothing.

Several litres of blood were used on set.

Certain sections of the film were done in the crypts underneath the Leeds Town Hall. There are a lot of rumours about it being haunted by those who used to be locked up there.

It took 7 different filming days to complete the entire film.

There was a gap of nearly half a year during filming due to GCSE exams that most of the cast and crew were sitting.
