Jonathan Brandis and Brian Austin Green did a guest spot in the episode "A Thanksgiving Story." Both actors appeared in the pilot episode of Good Morning Miss Bliss on NBC. When NBC passed on the show it was picked up by the Disney Channel and introduced Zack, Screech, Lisa, and Mr. Belding. Good Morning Miss Bliss eventually was canceled by Disney. Good Morning Miss Bliss was then repackaged into Saved by the Bell and picked up by NBC. The Miss Bliss episodes are known as Saved by the Bell: the Jr. High Years. Saved by the Bell then brought the characters Kelly, Jessie, and Slater into the fold. After graduation in the original series, Zack, Slater, Screech, and eventually Kelly went on to star in Saved by the Bell: The College Years. Dennis Haskins also reprized his role as Mr. Belding in the episode "A Thanksgiving Story."
