Computer animated veggies...who would think of something kids hate to eat and apply morals to them, to make the best Christian videos ever? BigIdea productions. I think we all need to salute these guys. They take the same technique as the Simpsons (few people do all the voices, great humor, etc.) and apply, as I said before, morals. Great for kids, and even fun for us adults.

The Toy that Saved Christmas is one of the best installments of Veggie Tales. The story is about Mr. Nezzer, a toymaker, who sets out to tell the "true" meaning of Christmas, by creating a toy that says "You need more toys!" But one of these Buzzsaw Louie dolls doesn't agree. Ken Cavanagh has a great voice talent (I actually know him personally) and he delivers his message great! Also has humor that not only kids will laugh at, but adults as well. The great storyline is excellent, told through a "bedtime" story. The silent penguins are a great addition to the film. The thirty minute video is a milestone in Big Idea's history. All in all, it is very, very good!!!! I will give this fantastic movie a tremendous 9 out of 10.

My two-year-old and four-year-old want to watch this movie over and over and over and over. The wonderful thing is that I don't mind. We need more Christmas movies that reinforce the concept that consumerism should not be the focus of our holiday season attention. The plot is straightforward, but there are enough for-adults inside jokes to keep parents in stiches too.
