The film explores the transformation of actors into the different characters they assume on stage. The different women backstage dissolve themselves under layers of colorful make-up and clothes into the male character, who metaphorically represents the different characters that each of these women assume. The actresses are not seen once the character comes to life on stage, as there is a temporary shift in reality. The character then take on a new life and gives birth to himself on stage. But finally as the curtains drop the temporary shift in reality ends and the actors are caught in an endless search of their identity. The multiple images and the change in color and black and white signify the repetitions of this act over and over again.
