I honestly thought this anime was adorable. The main characters may be awkward but I like the fact this anime is serious but not serious at the same time. I was even glad that this wasn't a typical Romeo and Juliet story where they always die in the end. It was more of a student love who are cleverly doing their best to not get caught by their forbidden romance from either of their group's (black doggies & white cats). As well as that, its good to see a LGBT character like Princess Char added to this. She really does warm your heart regardless if she's manipulative and always clingy to wanting Persia to fall in love with her instead of Romeo.

If you were a fan of this like I am and needing some more Boarding School Juliet, I highly suggest to you all to try out Volume 4 chapter 18 of the manga. It's absouletely brilliant as well!

I honestly don't know how this anime currently has a 7.9 rating. In no way does it qualify. The anime is mediocre (nothing special at all), the characters are trite and cliche, the story line not original, unique or even with a decent twist. It's the old "lovers from different sides of the track" (theme established in the summary)... and not done all that well.

The male lead is so vapid and frankly stupid that one wonders how he ever became leader of his clan. There are some elements of comedy that are a saving grace, but it's a one-joke series: lovers in secret enemies in public. Gets old very quickly. The characters are one-dimensional, the plot elements ridiculous (of course it is anime, still...), the situations in which the characters regularly find themselves both repetitious and unbelievable.

If you enjoy good story, plot twists, and intelligent characters who work themselves out of difficult situations using wit and charm... you'll find none of that here. This is goofy on toast, and the toast is made of cheap bread. There are far better "crossed lover" stories out there.
