Artoo and Threepio lose their new jobs waiting tables at Doodnik's café and end up part of a droid auction. Together with an android that seems to be falling apart they are traded into the hands of Jann Tosh. Back at Jann's Uncle Gundy's Keschell mine, the broken down android turns out to be an alien in disguise. After he saves Uncle Gundy during a cave-in, Jann decides to call the alien 'Kez-Iban'. But there is a reward out for the mysterious alien, and evil mining boss Kleb Zellock intends to earn it.
