I can barely even form a coherent sentence to describe to you what this movie actually is after having seen it, but I'll try.

The premise is your typical cliché: A killer comes to slice up some teens. Here, it's an escaped mental patient in a doctor's outfit wielding a scalpel. Against all odds and even logic itself, he goes on a rather successful murder-spree.

This movie is like something a bunch of friends knocked out in a weekend. They probably had no idea what they were doing, I doubt a script was written, they clearly had no budget to work with, and very little experience in making movies. But they still did it, and that's kind of amazing.

The writing is abysmal, the dialog is even worse. The editing is a train wreck, where it's clear they dubbed music over individual shots rather than entire scenes, leading to incredibly disjointed moments where cutting to different camera angle will remove the background music until they go back to the first camera. Acting ranges from wooden to supremely over-the-top. The killer in particular has lots of (great?) scenes where he's staring directly in to the camera with his eyes bugging out, waving a scalpel around for no reason, like he's trying to dissect the lens.

I had the pleasure of watching this movie with a group of friends, and we all had a blast. There's a lot of amazing stupidity worth laughing at, and the movie actually does a pretty good job of ratcheting up its own absurdity. The last 10-15 minutes are as close to a literal fever dream as any movie can come.

Would I recommend? It's a STUNNINGLY bad movie, but it's also thoroughly ridiculous and I bet everyone involved had a lot of fun producing it. If that sounds right up your alley, then by all means, check this out.

I remember seeing this when I was like 11. I thought it was good then. But I got older and starting watching more b-movies and it turns out this one is pretty crappy. But it had a likability factor to it though. I think it's the cheesy dialogue and the really crappy 80's music. I was really disappointed that there was hardly any gore! To all you SPM fans out there. THIS IS NOT A SEQUEL TO THE SPM SERIES!!! Stay far away!!

Wow! You have every possible element in this movie. The year is 1987. 3 Teenage girls have a slumber party. Their immature boyfriends stop by to try and scare them. twists and turns! JOKES! but its really funny, the mom of the girl who is having the slumber party is at home as well. ORIGINALITY! the worst actor in the film by far is the Dad, who is a doctor. Oh the orange juice. The best acting however is done by the killer himself.

Far better than Sorority House Massacre! As if thats too difficult for you to believe. But of course we still should say thanks to Slumber Party Massacre for being the true creator of the slumber party slasher craze.

This was one of those flicks that I had been advised to avoid, but as per usual, I let my love for the genre get the better of me and completely ignored everyone's friendly guidance! I found out about it from the IMDB and immediately set about getting hold of a copy. I must admit, that the few people I'd spoke to who had seen it many years ago remembered it as being a ‘complete waste of celluloid'! But those warnings sincerely made me want to see it all the more, and after ordering it from AMAZON under standard shipping costs, I had a six-week delay for it to arrive at my door. Whilst I was waiting for the postman to bring me my padded jiffy bag, it seemed that the more days that went past, the further my curiosities about the flick strengthened. By the time it arrived I was just off to work and all day long I was looking forward to getting home and finding out if it was really worth waiting for…

At first we meet a group of jesting teens that are celebrating in high spirits on their last day of school. Tracy (Nancy Meyer), Chris (Jan Jensen), Tommy (Danny David), Scott (Paul Amend) and Billy (Lance Descourez) all plan a slumber party at Linda (Joann Whitley) 's house, where they can spend the night drinking, taking drugs and doing the usual cheesy antics that eighties teens in slasher movies love to do! Meanwhile, whilst they all merrily head off home to prepare for their fateful gathering, elsewhere in the town it seems a lunatic patient from the local asylum has escaped sporting a surgical mask and apron and clutching a very sharp scalpel! He gets the address of his psychiatrist's home and heads over there to carry out the threat that we learn he gave him days before. - He warned the doctor that he would find him and kill him! Then we find out that the medic is Linda's father, so the vicious butcher has conveniently found himself a house full of would be victims to slash! As the beer flows at the party, the unwelcome guest arrives and before long the blood begins to flow too…

Well, what can I say? Ok, ok so I should've listened, but I don't want to hear anyone saying ‘I told you so'! THE LAST SLUMBER PARTY is a bad movie. As soon as I heard the ear numbing heavy metal track that burst out of my TV's speakers in the first five minutes, accompanied by heavy breathed POV shots in the muggiest of bad quality cinematography, I realised that I had made a big mistake by not trusting my friend's opinions! Every single cliché in the book is present and accounted for but they're added with the most minimal effort imaginable. The only thing worse than the atrocious acting and the horrid ‘bontempi' soundtrack that doesn't even sound in tune, is the incredibly inept plot that almost defies humanly description. It looks as if the editor pasted scenes in any old order without knowing how the story played. The thing just doesn't seem to make any sense at all. We don't see all of the murders; characters just suddenly turn up dead all of a sudden. In one scene another killer appears inside the house and we never find out who he is or why he's there. I don't even know if he was just a kid pulling a prank, there's just no apparent explanation. I think that the choice for the ending was Steven Tyler's desperate attempt to escape the massive plot inconsistencies that he knew he couldn't cover up. Things just plod along in no recognisable order letting the obnoxious and tedious characters warble their way through the mess of a script. I know it's routine for a slasher victim to be dumb, but these folks are unbelievable. When the unlikely leading girl finally realises something's not quite right in the house, she sets off to investigate and find out where everyone's disappeared too. She takes a brief look around outside the house, but absurdly it seems every one has vanished. As she turn to re-enter one of her friends staggers through the door and drops to the ground in front of her – dead. Faced with the obvious fact that there's some sort of psychopath at work in the home, what does she do? Run to a neighbour's house to raise the alarm or maybe call the cops? No, of course not, instead she decides to walk back in and around the ‘death trap' finding a few more bodies on the way, before unwisely grabbing a knife and setting off to find the killer! Confused? I certainly was! Each victim is murdered in exactly the same way as the last, grabbed around the neck and their throats slashed with a scalpel. The Michael Myers-lite assassin – who shows us the extent of his insanity by keeping his eyes wide open and holding the aforementioned weapon up to the camera menacingly (!) – offers us nothing exciting or new to recommend.

On the plus side there are loads of unintentional laughs on offer, like when the first two victims get killed. A nurse heads outside the hospital to a bus stop where she waits to head home. There's another guy sitting there who's fast asleep on the bench (?). Before she gets a chance to wake him up, she's grabbed by the shoulder and…guess what, her throat is slashed by the psycho with a scalpel. The lazy bystander manages to snore his way through her hysterical screams for help as she's murdered, but amazingly wakes up just after she's been dispatched. Of course this leaves him defenceless, unaware and wide open to get, you've guessed it, his throat slashed too…. Oh, How I cried! There's no effective gore on offer here, instead we get some fake looking red corn syrup pouring out of some unconvincing wounds. There's plenty of it though, right up until the laugh out loud ending that is certainly unexpected. Perhaps the most amusing thing is the way it's described on the back cover:

"The plot is twisted inside out leaving you stunned and clinging to your chair as you witness shock after horrifying shock. The ending will leave you breathless."

I certainly agree; it was indeed hard to catch my breath after I had been giggling consistently for 80 minutes!

As you've probably guessed THE LAST SLUMBER PARTY is really bottom of the barrel stuff. It's cheap, inept, badly shot, jerkily edited, awfully scripted and has all the tension of paint drying. It's not even able to redeem itself by being bad in an always-endearing NAIL GUN MASSACRE kind of way. The most amazing thing about this movie is the fact that it ever got released at all. I think it's great that someone with a few dollars to waste can make an independent movie and get it distributed around the world. But to make a small film like this a success, you need a little bit of, what's that word? Ah yes, TALENT. Sadly it seems none of these guys remembered that either…

Dismal, just dismal......... when it comes to slasher flicks I really do hope that there aren't any worse then this, but if there are, well then that's quite a shame.

Reviewing The Last Slumber Party...... what a pleasure, here goes. After seeing this flick not a single positive thought comes to mind, however if you ever have the urge to see the worst example of the slasher film genre - this is it: The Last Slumber Party. It's a pathetically lame movie, the worst of it's kind and a failure on all levels, however, at the same time it's also an excellent example of not just shoddy film-making, but rather a tour-de-force of all things bad in movies. Which in it's case only intensifies the longer it goes and by the movies end you should have by then, developed a healthy amount of hatred for it and the reasons for that are many. Let me cite some of those reasons.

Right from the very start the movie opens up with an utterly tasteless opening credits sequence, in which every other word is displayed in hot pink, in addition to that you'll hear some lame 80's glam-rock band blaring away. So factually speaking before you're even through the movies open credits you're -already- up to your ears in a sea of tasteless dreck, but the worst is yet to come. And what of the actors, you say? Well I think you'll quickly deduce the fact that the films cast is comprised, almost entirely, of a small gaggle of dumb horny teens (do I have you cringing yet?), yet another clue as to what level of film-making one can expect to see from The Last Slumber Party - oh but the movie has just begun. The film's "teen cast" is just plain terrible and the adult actors are just as bad; especially the guy who plays the doctor, I've never seen anyone less charismatic then him. The dialog of this movie, just listen to it, could not sound any more amateurish or juvenile (though it can be pretty colorful, I won't lie), even illogical at times. The film's script is simply littered with copious amounts of generic slang and over-used clichés and before long their lingo (i.e. drivel) becomes incredibly redundant and tiresome.

From a purely visual perspective the films cinematography and editing tends to get worse and worse as the movie goes, several scenes near the end for instance are definitely under-lit, not to mention the camera that they used was obviously having focus issues, which is a problem on and off throughout the whole movie. But if there's one aspect of The Last Slumber Party that's worse than all others, it would have to be in how it was edited. This movie is simply one of the worst examples of film-editing you're likely ever to see and as a result this movie has little in the way of logical flow and it gets unbelievably repetitive before long. The movie looks as if it were edited by someone who no longer had a functioning long-term memory (as if their mind was fried due to years of drug-abuse), because there are all kinds of issues with the plotting and continuity; so much so that for the most part the movie is nothing more than a jumble of lame, poorly-shot scenes that contain little in the way of logic and even less coherency. Especially near the end where several scenes are either blatantly out of sequence and/or repeated multiple times, however the editing is highly questionable throughout the entire movie.

Oh yeah and not to forget this gripping foot-note, which involves orange juice! That's right, if there's one thing that stands out in this pathetic movie, more so then anything else, it would have to be the abnormal and inordinate amount of importance that's placed on WHETHER OR NOT the doctor (at his wives request) will remember to buy: Orange Juice! Seriously, I'm not making that up and do try to keep in mind that this is supposed to be a slasher film or a "horror" film. Come to think of it, this movie IS a thing of horror - but not for any of the reasons it's makers intended it to be. The suspense runs thick, oh so thick, will the doctor buy orange juice or will he not. Well, you'll just have to wait and see.

The Last Slumber Party isn't just the worst slasher film, but also one of the worst movies period. But I suppose if you were to completely shut-off your brain you might be able to enjoy this movie, but really this truly is movie-making at it's most dire.

This is a bad movie by even Rifftrax standards, it's that bad.

Was this movie edited by Salvador Dali on drugs? When I'm trying to get invested in a movie, it's important to have a vague idea of what's going on. When your killer teleports as often as this guy does, you have two options: learn basic editing or, if you don't have the talent for that, write in a line about how he knows teleportation. Writer/Director/Star Stephen Tyler (not to be confused with the much scarier Steven Tyler) never made another horror movie after this one, and neither did any of his actors. I'd be grateful for that, but then again: "The Last Slumber Party" is also intensely fascinating. How bad can a movie get before you stop calling it a movie? You just stare in awe because you have no idea what the next scene will bring. When you look at it that way, this is much more entertaining than a halfway competent project. My favorite parts: every time our mad psychopath (Tyler himself) opens his eyes real wide because he can't come up with any other way to act crazy. That's some great stuff.

I was laughing SO hard when i watched this movie. It's Hilarious! It was even funnier than scary movie 1 & 2. My family and i laughed ourselves sick watching this movie. i can't believe it has a 1.3 rating, i loved it. It's undoubtedly the best comedy i've ever seen.

This movie, besides terrible effects has the worst acting I've ever seen. This girl discovers her friend is dead, and she just walks away as if nothing happened. Then, when the killer is after her, she stands and waits for him to try to stab her. Lame, I only liked it cuz it was funny. Serious people, avoid this movie.

I'm not even going to comment on what piece of trash this film is since that has already been established. However, watching this with my friends we all laughed out loud when the lead girl made a Shelley Hack reference while on the phone. We sat there trying to figure out why the writer would throw her into the mix. We can only assume he had a Charlie's Angels fixation at one time. Based on that reference, we assumed this film must have been made around her Charlie's Angels run in 1979 or 1980, but from what I've read here it was made around 1987. You sure couldn't tell that from the poor production values. It seems as though it was made by a college student for a film class. And while by no means would I expect a low-budget trash fest like this to be politically correct, the rednecks in this film sure did like to direct derogatory gay remarks to each other. Even so I'd still only rank this as the 2nd worst horror film ever made, second only to "Nail Gun Massacre."

O boy, was this really bad.

I saw this on videotape.

In scenes that had soundtrack music, it was hard to hear the dialog. When people were on the telephone, it was hard to hear the person on the other end. It appeared that at least two different kinds of film or video stock were used, because the colors and focus sometimes shifted drastically between edits. And there were a lot of out of focus shots that didn't seem intentional.

One indicator of the budget (one of many) was when a news report comes on TV. There is just a "news flash" title card badly superimposed with a video effect onto a TV screen, and a voice-over by a newscaster. They couldn't shoot footage of a newscaster, and then actually show it on the TV?

The movie starts off with a killer wearing surgical scrubs and mask, wielding a scalpel. Supposedly he's a paranoid schizophrenic who escapes from the hospital to avoid having a lobotomy performed on him.

Students are let out of school for a break, and three young women decide to have a slumber party. Three guys decide to crash the party, and a geek named Science decides to crash it too. The slumber party is pretty boring, and the guys just keep showing up randomly wearing masks, taking the masks off, and then disappearing. The mother and father (the surgeon who was to do the lobotomy) of one of the girls keep showing up too. The killer knocks slices people's throats without anyone really noticing. The apparent lead of the movie more or less sleepwalks through the movie. Perhaps that was bad acting, or maybe it was intentional, since much of the movie is a nightmare, and some of it a nightmare within a nightmare.

The ending is really horrible too.

The best thing about the movie is the cheesy United Home Video VHS box art, which was revived for the DVD release (a double feature with Terror at Tenkiller). I honestly can't tell if it is a photo, or a painting, or a combination of both. The women pictured on the cover are not in the movie, and the clothing they're wearing is way more revealing than anything the women in the movie wore. The throat slicing on the cover is scarier than the ones in the movie - where people tend to affect a goofy pop-eyed look. For that matter, that's what the killer has most of the time: head cocked, and eyes bugging out, mugging for the camera. Frequently the scalpel was held up close to the camera in focus, while the killer's mask-covered face was in close-up but out of focus in the background.

This movie, by far, is the best horror movie of all time. The plot twists, the acting, the sheer suspense and excitement is incredibly spell-binding. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves to be freaked out, and when I say freaked out, I mean, FREAKED OUT!!!!!! Girls trapped in a house with a killer on the loose. How do you come up with this stuff? This movie has a successful formula to it, and many many writers of horror movies and directors of the horror genre need to study this movie inside and out to learn what it is that's truly scary. If you want to see a movie that makes you pee your pants, check out the Last Slumber Party. Pure genius!!

I seen this at a local video store. I am a big fan of slasher movies so I was wondering what this was. I watched it and the movie says it all why you never heard of it. EXTREMELY AWFUL!!!!! and that's and underrated statement. The death scenes were horribal and so unoriginal. The characters sucked even more. They must have been on drugs when they made this low budget cheap heap of crap. If I was them, I wouldn't show my face for at least 20 years. Nuff said 2/10

wow, there's just so much so very wrong with this piece of crap i'm not sure where to start.

normally i have a soft spot for even the dirge that united home video brings to market, i mean, how can you not love blood cult, a similarly awful movie yet shot on betacams? (at least the cheap synthesizer used for the score in blood cult was used in conjunction with a sequencer and/or quasi-literate musician)

i rented "last slumber party" mostly due to seeing the "united home video" emblem, thinking i might get a good beer-infused laugh out of it. hardly.

there are home movies of you getting you learning to ride your first bike that have both better quality and lighting. the acting seems to imply that everyone was either on a heavy diet of painkillers or just plain outright awful. the story is a deliberate attempt to borrow from virtually every other movie in the "girls at slumber party get drunk and then slashed up by escaped maniac" subgenre yet somehow manages to come off as completely retarded.

only good note, the heavy metal music provided by "FIRSTRYKE"... the best/worst hairmetal in a horror flick since the prom scene in prom night 3.

avoid this at any and all costs.

Now I've seen it all. Just when I thought it couldn't get any more pathetic and cheesy than "Woodchipper Massacre," just when I thought dialogue and acting couldn't get worse than "Nail Gun Massacre," just when I thought "Don't Go In The Woods" would retain its title as Lousiest Slasher Film Ever, along comes "THE LAST SLUMBER PARTY!" Somehow, this cheap, wretched manure manages to avoid lewdness, but it remains terrible! I couldn't believe my eyes--for once I can't complain about excessive (or in this case, any) nudity in a slasher film, but it still managed to make me crimson with embarrassment for renting it. Never before have I seen such horrible acting, dialect, direction, writing,....I could go on forever with this list! Here's a quick run-down:

A mental patient somehow escapes from the loony bin, dresses up like a surgeon, somehow finds out where his doctor lives, and breaks in while the doctor's daughter is having friends over for the night. Then begins the most stupid killing spree (ripped off from other movies such as "Slumber Party Massacre" and Halloween") this side of the universe. The characters have negative IQs, which suggests they are not human. Then again, I guess they are not, since they have the tendency to bleed Kool-Aid when they get cut, as the slasher likes to show use when he holds up his scapel to the camera in WAY too many scenes. It is only 80 minutes...how many times must we look at that scapel like that before it consumes the whole movie?...which I suppose wouldn't be all that bad of an idea in this case! There is one moment where I thought maybe, just maybe, the director would make it interesting (a second killer was added), but alas! It was not to be! And then to insult even further, there is a stupid super cop-out sub-ending and an even stupider final conclusion. That probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but I would hate to give away the dumbest few scenes in movie history to those two or three fools (like me) dumb enough to rent this sewage.

I sure hope that, by writing this, I have saved 80 minutes of someone's life. I get on my hands and knees to beg anyone still thinking about renting this: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T! This is a fan of the slasher genre talking; I know what is good for you! The only real victims in this rattlebrained, asinine nonsense are the poor morons that have sat through the whole toilet tank! Zanatos's score...since there is no negative point scale, I have to give it a 1, but a below-average 1 at that. Avoid it at all costs....please!!!!

But we might as well start somewhere in any case. The story is pretty basic. A group of girls at a slumber party are targeted by an escaped lobotomy patient. A story this basic can go one way or the other and it this case it's poorly done. What are the other problems? First of all we have the characters. They're terrible. There's no reason to care about any of these people. None of the girls are in any way likable. One of them has no personality, another is really whiny, and the third just spews homophobic slurs. The boys that arrive aren't any better. They're all just bland carbon copies. The acting is also horrendous, but to be fair I didn't expect anything that great to begin with. Oddly enough, the biggest part of the movie is the continuity. The narrative structure itself is flawed beyond belief. The story (as mentioned above) is pretty basic, just a slumber party horror movie. It shouldn't be that hard to follow. And I'm not saying that it's purposely unconventional like a Christopher Nolan movie, I'm saying it's flawed. I think the main character dies at least twice, other random characters appear and disappear, another character goes to buy orange juice after having already gone to bed. The worst case of this is when there's one shot of the movie that appears out of nowhere. It has no relation to the plot, it's never mentioned again, and it even looks like it belongs in a completely different movie. I'm serious. This film has no rules.

I love a good bad cheap movie ("The Giant Claw" remains one of my all-time favorites) but this one is just trash. It's the cheapest, most poorly-written, poorly-acted, poorly-edited piece of crap I've seen in many, many years. On top of all that, it's just plain BORING... and you really can't get around that obstacle, which is what makes watching it just plain no fun, even for those who enjoy watching terrible movies. While ALL the acting is atrocious, the guy who plays the doctor deserves special mention for being considerably beneath the skill level of his co-stars. (I note that this is his one and only film credit... hardly surprising.) The only thing that made it survivable to the end was the Rifftrax commentary. Please, please, please avoid, unless you have Mike, Kevin and Bill holding your hand the whole way.

I'm going to skip trying to write my own pithy little plot summary for the drivel known as The Last Slumber Party. It's so bad, a plot summary isn't worth my time. Instead, here's what's written on IMDb: "Linda, Tracy, and Chris are a trio of teenage girls who decide to celebrate the last day of high school by having a slumber party at Linda's house. A few guys also show up to further enhance the merry festivities. However, things take a turn for the worse when a homicidal maniac who has just escaped from a mental hospital crashes the bash."

I watch a whole lot of bad movies, so trust me when I say The Last Slumber Party is monumentally and epically horrible. Racking my brain, I can think of only a tiny handful of movies that I consider this bad. It reeks worse than a can of tuna left open in a dorm room over Christmas break (I actually did that many moons ago). It's another of those movies that's Gawd awful in every aspect. It's so bad I couldn't even find things to laugh at. Acting, casting, cinematography, special effects, music, every technical aspect you can think of, direction, editing, plotting – you name it, it's all pitiful. And though I could blame the lack of a real budget, instead, I think it's the poor writing that really does this movie in. It's just so stupid. None of it, especially character motivation, makes the first bit of sense. I've most likely already spent more time writing this little "review" than was spent writing the script for The Last Slumber Party. I normally avoid using this word when describing a movie, but it applies here – The Last Slumber Party SUCKS!

oh well... its funny. should have been a sadistic comedy, a lot of horror movies lack common sense, but i think a retarded caveman would weasel his way around this situation. Don't really expect Hitchcock or anything close to this. this is a good one for friends, but i wouldn't recommend it for anything else.this movie lacks all the substance of a true horror movie, the suspense, the shock, and good characters. the killer failed to be the unstoppable force that i expected him to be,and he seemed to be the average angry "D" student able to outsmart only stupid people. and the really funny thing is the horrible acting and the lack of emotion of the so called "victims"

3/10 just expect this one in the daily funnies.

I'm a slasher fan like most of you reading this, but I can tell you, I have not seen totally inane cr*p like this in a long time. I mean, let me just number it so it's easy for you to read and understand:

1) From United Entertainment/VCI, the VERY small 1988 distributor in Oklahoma, who gave us the legendary home video, no budget hit BLOOD LAKE, which IMDb doesn't even have in its database and that doesn't surprise me. That one had the same no-budget atmosphere and completely unknown teen actors that, like in this film, only starred in one film.

2) No budget doesn't necessarily mean no film. BLOOD LAKE was actually pretty good. But in this one, oh my God, it was just awful.

3) The dialogue. Is this really the way people are in Oklahoma? I sincerely hope not. Sample dialogue: `I'm loaded and I feel like throwing up, could you please pass the Jack Daniels?' `There's a party tonight at my house, would you mind if I invite myself?' `I THINK he's schizophrenic, why don't we give him a partial lobotomy?' And the science teacher that looked exactly like one of the science teachers that I had in high school. And he started talking about how he got laid at the prom. Oh my God.

4) The killer knows where the doctor's house is, that's strange, but also in one hilarious scene he attacks the doctor but it looked like he pulled the doctor on top of him in a sort of sexual position. Anyone that has been unfortunate enough to see this film knows that that's what it looked like. Aren't I right?

5) The deaths aren't original. PLEASE SOMEBODY INVOLVED IN THE MAKING OF THIS AWFUL FILM TELL ME WHY THE KILLER HAD TO KEEP HOLDING THAT KNIFE UP TO THE CAMERA?

6) The blood looked fake.

7) The acting is bad.

8) The writing is bad.

9) And just about everything else is crew wise is awful.

10) Really, I'd prefer it if I didn't have to continue. If you don't get the point by now, you never will.

Honestly, I just wasted 90 minutes of my life watching this film; I don't want to waste 19 more telling you about it. Absolutely, sheer stupidity. One of the worst pieces of inane, illegitimate, pitiful pieces of trash ever made. The IQ of the makers of this film truly must have been BELOW zero. Reportedly made in Alabama though I can't believe their budget got them out of Oklahoma. God, that was awful!

I want to start my review off in a positive manor, so let me just say I did enjoy this film. However, I didn't enjoy it for the right reasons.

The Last Slumber Party was written and directed by Stephen Tyler (not of Aerosmith). I say written and directed very loosely, as well, because it seems to me like very little effort was put into this film, which is not uncommon, especially in the 80′s. However, little is excusable here. This film centers around a group of teenage girls on the last day of school, throwing a slumber party that a homicidal maniac decides to crash. Not an overly complex or original plot, although countless other films manage to pull it off much better. The acting in this film is atrocious. The characters have zero depth with the exception of a few small lines lifted from "Halloween." It's hard to give victims less character than your garden variety slasher movie, but this film does it. The editing and pacing are also quite bothersome for me. The editor must have also felt it necessary to use the same footage of the killer walking towards the camera over and over and over.

This isn't a great way to spend a Saturday night, if you want to be scared, but if you want to watch a b-movie with your friends and have a good laugh, I fully recommend this movie.

I love cheesy horror movies, I think dead alive and bad taste are great and I think slumber party massacre II (not even related to this movie) are hilarious. But this movie absolutely stank, I didn't laugh, I didn't even enjoy it.. you can see all kinds of mistakes that aren't even campy. The best take of the scene where the woman leans out the window is the one where she smacks her head on the sill? Give me a break.

Don't rent this thinking it's related to the slumber party massacre series. It's awful and I don't even have a clue how it got any distribution. Rent it with a fake name and burn it, do everyone else the favor.

So one day I was in the video store looking for a movie. I came across this and rented it because it was a film I hadn't seen or even heard of.

Now I like slasher movies in general, but this is just abysmal, not even good for laughs. Besides being ultra ultra cheap and containing all slasher film cliches and terrible acting it has the most incompetent and inept direction I have ever come across. Now sometimes the aforementioned traits can be present in a film and some enjoyment can still be had, but not here. Painful example of home-made horror.

Although boring, poorly made, poor story, a Slumber Party Massacre ripoff, poor acting (the mother is slightly tolerable in acting), and terrible picture quality, this movie ISN'T the worst slasher. Go look up Houseboat Horror.

LOL/WTF moments (spoilers): I was laughing at the fact Tyler the killer gets startled by Science knocking off the blonde jock and pops up from behind the bed, as if to say "Hey that's my job". Linda seems to "disappear"- from sleeping right in front of the killer hunched over her - then reappears..later.. dying at the kitchen door in front of Chris (although the look in Linda's eyes is epic). Also the way Tyler "dies" is rather..stupid. Chris stabs him with a knife, which gets blood on it, but the scalpel instead is poking from Tyler's chest. Then Chris just..falls over and that's the end of the nightmare and (spoilers)

I don't think the movie is quite as boring as their "Slumber Party"..the mother tells them to go to bed rather early on. Twice the zombie-like Tracy says she is going to munch out, and eats nothing but half an apple. Their only entertainment (besides the two guys) is intermittently watching a movie on a little portable TV.

Russ Thorn has nothing to worry bout here.
