Journal of Things Online

Have you ever questioned the nature of your reality? This is a web series that explores the surreal nature of our reality through the lenses of science, technology, philosophy, and spirituality. A common but barely visible link that connects all the episodes together is the creator's personal experience with each topic. This series is for the curious wanderers who are brave enough to confront the fluidity of their reality.

The idea for this web series came about after its creator suffered from an existential crisis. That's when he realized that there might be others like him and decided to make the series.

I love the idea behind this series. The tagline is 'Question Your Reality' and that's exactly what it does. Question every single aspect of your reality from the whole wide universe to your own brain. Why are we as humans do certain things and be a certain way? Why does the universe behave in a certain way? Is there any meaning to life? What is God? Why does the Universe exist? Why is there something rather than nothing? and many more layered questions ... It is an exhaustive process. At times the series gets frustrating, not just because it meddles with your belief and construct of your reality, but also it gets monotonous at times. Yes, that's my only problem with it so far. The narrator's voice, the structure of each episode, the way each subject is handled can get repetitive at times, especially if you watch all the episodes back to back. But I also think that it is because of budget constraints. It will get so much better with time. It did get better, comparing the first episode to the recent one on Transhumanism. I would love to see what else is on store and what more can be questioned. At first, it was a little disorienting, but that's how it is supposed to be. I love it.

Intimate and courageously vulnerable. A nice mix for existential seekers. Contains several genres and angles, including existential inquiry, spirituality, self-confrontation, sci-fi, physics and general questions regarding the nature of reality. Episodes are not too long, not too short - a catchy and enjoyable watch.
