Night Terror (1989) Online

"Night of Terror" is a low-budget trilogy of horror stories which features a mental patient delving into other people dreams.The first tale is about an alpha male who wants to have sex with stunningly beautiful girl.It turns out that the girl belongs to the Satanic coven.In the second story a rich land developer is terrorized and finally killed by a carnival barker because he wants to destroy an old fun house.The third tale is about a trio of robbers who are stalked and dispatched by killer toys after murdering a toymaker."Night Terror" is alright,if you like low-budget horror.The stories are rather routine,the acting is pretty bad and the gore includes a couple of throat slashings and an axe dismemberment.I enjoyed the third story the most.A generous 7 out of 10.

The central character in this film is a mental patient made witness to a series of unrelated, nightmarish episodes; he serves as a hub for a narrative format similar to 'Twilight Zone', 'Cat's Eye' and 'Creepshow' in particular. Each story chronicles the punishment of characters sketched as repulsive in so far as they are, respectively: crudely misogynistic, developing over an antique amusement park inhabited by an annoying ghost, colorizing black and white films, and committing robbery-homocide on an old couple protected by murderous teddy bears.

In light of its apparently low budget the film coheres surprisingly well (as much as a talented editor could compensate for the pacing of abysmal performances) and one might even be inclined to forgive its merely functional, mediocre cinematography -- were it not for the audio. The audio is so outstandingly, distractingly poor it single-handedly, exponentially reduces the film's entire production value and its tolerabilty for anyone who resents dialogue engineered in bathtubs with a walkman. The entire film should have been post-dubbed, if only to be made dignified for cremation.

I just watched this awesome 80s horror anthology film, it's out of this world it's stories are wonderful. There are 4 stories..

1) night terror- the wrap around story as all anthologies have one.. this one is about the mental patient saying he has night terrors he talks to his doctor who calms him but he still has these nightmares as we see in the next 3 stories.. with him in each one.

2) stuck with the drinks- about 2 co workers going out for drinks talking about women and a particular one who is one of the guys love interest that his friend calls them says she interested it's his lie that he tells his him so he can date her.. he goes to his house seeing her or what he thinks is her as he gets to his house apparently someone got murdered as the police and news crew are there blood is on the driveway the sidewalk.. he goes to his home where he does cocaine listens to his phone messages then gets a shower shaves he accidentally cuts himself while shaving as the women he sees appears then disappears again.. he calls the women again from the picture of her he has she answers tells him to join her at her party address is 666 Shadow Lane.. he does but what he doesn't know is that it's a satanic ritual party and he gets with her then her minions take him away to sacrifice him for his blood.. in a satanic ritual..

3) Reap the Whirlwind- involves court cases won then celebrated by lawyers.. one of which sees a carnival barker dressed in a red white suit telling the lawyer step ride up, your ticket please then goes on to say he is paying his price he then ends up at a carnival ride roller coaster called the whirlwind and is killed by it..

4) Teddy Bear- in this final story of this great horror anthology takes place in a toy makers shop where 3 guys kill the toy maker who believes his toys talk to him and his favorite is the teddy bear that sings to him.. anyways the mother of the toy maker gets angry as he hasn't taken the money to the bank as he's playing with his toys in his toy shop so she storms off and while she's gone the 3 killers all men go and make their way to the toy shop kill the toy maker and they kill the toys one in which is the teddy bear who now sings a creepy song I am a little teddy bear you killed my papa and now I'm gonna kill you.. the teddy bear now haunts the 3 killers and kills all 3 of them..

After this we see in the wrap around story with the mental patient that he's still having night terrors that he is wondering the mental hospital and he is captured by orderly who the doctor has put the patient to sleep and then he's awaken he thinks that it was all a bad dream but it's not as he haunted by an entity that tells him he has many faces and will haunt him until he dies.. he goes about the hospital sees that everyone is dead by a killer with an axe who goes after the patient with his axe that he chopped up all in the hospital
