This was the first of Robert Hardy's appearances in the role of Alec Stewart, the oil executive who has problems reconciling his business life with his devout Roman Catholicism. He stayed with the series for four years.
With this segment, the series that had been called "Mogul" now became (and remained) "The Troubleshooters". It also moved to a Saturday night from a mid-week scheduling slot, and was shown at a later time to allow for adult themes to be explored.
