Final appearance of Chris Carmack as a series regular.
In one of the first season episodes ("The Proposal"), the main characters are watching an unnamed "chick-flick". According to "The O.C." website, the movie was "The Triplets of Bellville", but a closer examination will show that the credits are not from the movie at all. Instead, the credits being run in the theater in the background are just shout-outs to crew members (i.e. Susan Godfrey).
This is the first episode in the first season to be directed by a woman.
Kirsten tells Julie that Luke wrapped his car around a telephone pole, but in a preview shot, it just hit a sign head on. She should know this because it's likely Ryan told the family as he was at the scene of the accident.
