Addicted to Murder: Tainted Blood (1998) Online

New York City is one of the prime breeding grounds for the vampire, a creature that is very selective in whom it chooses to bestow the gift of eternal life. Among the candidates are the twenty-something Tricia, who desires to experience any life but her own; Jonathan, a young vampire with an attitude problem; and, of course, a few serial killer types like Joel Winter, who search for something beyond their psychopathic lives... But there's one problem--a rogue vampire who is turning people who aren't worthy of "The Gift"--and it's up to Angie Karnstein to find her sister and put an end to these creatures with the tainted blood.

I did not like part 1 and consider it to be top 5 worst movies ever, and this was better than it, but it was still horrible. I couldn't really tell you exactly what it was about cause I honestly couldn't make myself care enough to pay attention. The fat guy from part one who was turned into a vampire is now searching all over to find the woman who turned him. She kept having her kill him, because she got off on it and I guess he misses that. He kills a few people and finally finds her, but he has other vampires after him and...why I am even pretending to talk about what this film is about...it sucked so bad and if anyone is reading this just simply avoid this film.

I love low budget horrors because they are full of nice bloody moments and are often more original, people say these addicted to murder movies are original and praise that but it sure doesn't mean it makes them any better.

The whole opening credits of this movie had a bigger budget than all of part one, I don't know who gave the green light on this, but they didn't up the budget that is for sure. They still used a cheap camera and the sound is bad. The writer/director also took on editing this time around and maybe thats what he should do for a living. The editing wasn't half bad here, but the direction was basic and lets face it, he sure can't write.

The main star Joel got much fatter and uglier in the couple years between films, on these films women love him but in real life that guy couldn't get a date with a plastic love doll. The make-up was bad and the vampire teeth look like they came out of a $.25 machine.

Ted V. Mikels had a cameo here, but he was just talking and he sure didn't add anything to the film.

The best thing about this film was that it ended, it was just over and hour so I was glad it was shorter. I wouldn't recommend these films to anyone - they are horrible 1/10 stars

If you liked the first movie, then I strongly suggest seeking professional help right away. This sequel is just as full of crap as the first one, the acting is below sub-standard, the film quality is pre-college film school and the effects, I'm sorry, what effects. The teeth looks like they bought them out one of those vending machines you see outside the supermarket and video stores. Why does this crapper keep getting sequels? I guess it's not hard to make a profit when your movie only cost a hundred bucks and it goes right to video. Please let the third one be the last one, a trilogy of trash is enough in this unholy series of the dumb. I give ADDICTED TO MURDER 2...THE CRAP-O-LANTERN

Kevin Lindenmuth is a truly talented filmmaker who can do more with a smaller budget than Joel Schumacher could do with all the money in the world. The Addicted To Murder series proves this beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Addicted To Murder: Tainted Blood finds serial killer turned vampire slayer, Joel Winter, hunting the streets in search of his lost love Rachel. Huh? You make ask. Didn't Joel kill Rachel in part one.

When the film opens it seems confusing to anyone who may have seen the original film. At the end of that Addicted To Murder, if you recall, Joel has killed Angie and goes on to kill Rachel in an attempt to redeem his damned soul. So when the second one picks up, it doesn't make any sense. However, if you recall in the original, it jumps ahead from the point where Joel realizes that he is a vampire to the point where he has appointed himself a slayer. Tainted Blood attempts to fill in the blanks.

It succeeds, incredibly, in doing something that I wonder has ever been done before in film history. I've seen prequels and sequels, but never a film that fills in the years between one point and another, in a completely different film. Usually filmmakers place this extra footage at the end of a DVD or video in a sick attempt to tease the audience. But this is original and it works.

The ending has already been shown to the audience in the original film, it's just a matter of going along for the ride and watching our makeshift hero's transition from prey to hunter.

What a grand ride it is, indeed! Kevin Lindenmuth I salute you!
