Stranger than fiction. It was supposed to be the start of a series called "The Sexual L:limits," made up of "Outer Limits" and "Twilight Zone" type stores. Cash Markman had already written one of these half-hour type shows for director Scotty Fox, to be enlarged with fifty additional minutes of sex. But, since the story had to do with a woman who stays young by draining the youth from her lovers, the distributor (Sin City) changed the title to "Eternity." Markman then wrote another "Sexual Limits" script for director Jim Enright. Since that story had to do with a Fountain of Youth serum, this movie was also released with the title "Eternity," this time by its distributor, CDI (Cinderella). It was a strange coincidence, especially since the two stories had little in common except an obsession with youth. Markman then wrote a third "Sexual Limits" script, which had nothing to do with people trying to stay young, and showed it to director Herschel Savage. But Savage passed. So Markman did a polish on the script, improving it, then sold it to Scotty Fox, who shot it for Moonlight, who then changed the title to what you see here - "In Deep with the Devil." Meanwhile, without the knowledge of Markman and Fox, Savage changed his mind and, assuming the script was still available, shot a movie from the earlier draft he had been given, for VCA. So the same script (a first draft for Savage, an improved second draft for Fox) were released simultaneously by two different companies. And the one Savage made finally had the title Markman wanted - "The Sexual Limits." But, due to the conflict, and fearing a law suit, the writer refused payment and credit on Savage's version. And then Markman gave up on his "Sexual Limits" porn series idea for good.
