Grace takes a personal interest in a latest crime scene of a brutal murder where the M.O. of the killer fits with her long hidden past 11 years earlier in which she survived an attack by apparently the same individual after having a one-night stand with a local thug. As Grace continues to slide towards self-destruction and debauchery, Ham becomes angry and jealous after finding her literally tied up on her bed after another 'john' of hers leaves her. Meanwhile, Rhetta continues to try to figure out the 'heavenly items' given to Grace by Earl and also meets Leon for the first time on death row where she begins to think that Earl is sending Grace a coded message through his gifts to her.
