This short film was conceived by writer-director Felipe M. Guerra as a Brazilian tribute to Japanese horror films about vengeful ghosts (like "Ju-On" and "Shutter"). Because of this, the filmmaker decided not to use any special effect or CGI effects, trying to create the atmosphere of horror only with the sudden appearances of the ghost and with the soundtrack.
The house where the story takes place belongs to Oldina Cerutti do Monte, who plays 'The Ghost'. After watching the finished film, she was afraid to sleep in her own room.
A film festival in São Paulo (Brazil) created a special honorable mention award for the film: "Melhor Susto de Velhinha Fantasma" (in English, "Best Scare by the Ghost of an Old Lady").
