A peaceful quiet romantic dinner between two lovers, is disturbed by the presence of an odd-looking stranger sitting alone outside their house. Jonahs has prepared a romantic dinner for his sweetheart Laura, hoping to charm and impress her. The plan goes awry, when Laura becomes aware of a strange guy sitting outside. Her intolerance towards this person throws off Jonahs, who has empathy for him. Jonahs becomes disillusioned by Laura's lack of understanding. The initial romantic feeling deteriorates, as Jonahs and Laura struggle to understand each others points of view and feelings.
