There has been no doubt about Karunakarans brilliance. He has always amazed us with his brilliance, not to mention the many times he disappointed us with his incapability of handling screenplay at the right time, particularly at the end parts of the movie. Happy is a similar movie which has brilliance and also some truly unjustified scenes. Getting on with the review… Happy Story Buny(arjun) a pizza delivery boy ends up marrying Madhumati(Genelia) to avoid her getting married to another person as that would end her dream of becoming a doctor. The story is truly a genuine one, Karunakaran needs to be applauded for his innovative idea, the story is about a pair marrying to avoid the problem at stake. But they progressively realise they love each other. How they overcome the other elements involved forms rest of the story.

Happy Performances Allu Arjun is good in the movie, his histrionics are good, especially his emotional outburst towards the very end of the movie remain with us after the movie. His fights are better than his dances, his flexibility really leaves us in awe. His performance in the songs is truly gracefully. He will have a hard time meeting expectations as he has set such high standards in his dance and fight departments.

Genelia is beautiful in her more traditional chudidaars. But there is a problem with her character in the movie, she cries for the whole movie, Genelia is focused as a insecure character. Karunakaran failed in showing her as a bubbly, chirpy girl. He should have taken care as a girl who is mischievous and naughty in the movie remains in the audience heart for a long time than a girl who weeps all throughout the movie; of course she had her bits of brilliance but over all her performance is OK.

Other Cast members that need mention are Manoj Bajpai, which I thought was a pretty good casting. Rama Prabha, Tanikella Bharani, Suman Setty and Jahnavi are OK.

The Happy Technical team Karunakaran, the man behind happy has done a commendable job. His story, screen play and direction are good in parts. There are a few scenes like Madhu asking Bunny to get out are not justified. The climax part also comes a surprise and we feel that it is totally forced on us to end the movie.

Music is excellent by Yuvan Shankar Raja. All songs are well picturised on good creative themes. All songs are well choreographed as well.

Final Word: A feel good movie that you will not want to miss. After you watch this movie there will be no way you will come out unsatisfied. It has got all the elements of a good fun movie.

This is the movie which can be enjoyed throughout... Allu Arjun and Genelia have really done a tremendous job in this film and i can say they both have given their career best performances in this film.... But the biggest assets of this movie are comedy, wonderful direction and the music which was given by Maestro Illayaraja's son Yuvan Shankar Raja....The music is really very good and even the picturisation of the songs is very pleasant.. The director is successful in presenting the movie in a very humorous and gripping way........ I should say that HAPPY movie would really be a pleasant experience to all the viewers who see this movie and i recommend each and every one to go watch this movie on the big screen and i am sure you all will enjoy this movie and come out with a satisfying experience....

I CAN SURELY SAY THAT EACH AND EVERY ONE Definitely WILL LOVE THE CLIMAX OF THE MOVIE AND ESPECIALLY THE WONDERFUL PERFORMANCES FROM THE LEAD ACTORS..............

First half of the film is entertaining and promising. Second half is adequate. The last half an hour of the film does not gel well with the rest of the film. However, the last 2 minutes of the film is heart-touching. The plus points of the film are Allu Arjun, songs picturization, technical values and comedy. On the flip side, tempo in the latter part of the second half went down. On a while, Happy is a happy film watch for its songs and comedy.

1. Hyderabadi: This song showcase the landmarks of Hyderabad coupled with riveting dances of Allu Arjun. Probably a song is shot for the first time at Buddha statue in Hussain Sagar. This song is merged into narration and shows how hero got settled in Hyderabad.

2. Happy: This song has a theme. The best thing about this song are the editing cuts by Anthony. The set was used pretty creatively to narrate the song theme with right picturization. On a whole it's a typical music video kind of song done with high quality.

3. Vassa Vassa: This is a massive mass number of Happy album. Mass steps composed by Ashok Raj rocks masses away. It is a set song and Allu Arjun shows his dancing prowess again with this song. The way director made Manoj Bajpai sing the first lyric of the song and clubbed such a mass song into narration smoothly is innovative.

4. I hate you: This song comes as the first song after the marriage. It is a very trendy song that has teasing elements. It is shot on the mean leads and their friends. It is another creative song.

5. Egire Mabbulona: This song is the best song of Happy. And its scored high in all aspects - lyrics, situation, music, melody and theme. Karunakaran canned this song with lots of dexterity. This song shows the blossoming of love between the lead pair.

6. Nee Kosam: It is another good song that is used for the separation of the couple with ample flashback scenes.

I am an Allu Arjun fan from Kerala. Though happy is allu arjuns underrated film in Telugu, in Kerala it is the most loved film of allu arjun. After the success of arya Malayalam dub, happy was dubbed in malayalam. It was a smash hit in Kerala. Happy not only strengthened allu arjun's fan following in Kerala, but lead to a slew of dubbed Telugu films in Kerala. Happy is a clear example of a well made commercial film. All the ingredients- comedy, romance, action, songs, dance, emotions were blended well in this. Allu arjun dance fights and performance(in climax) was considered his best at that time. Songs were very lovely. Happy is a film makes me always happy and also you too

Story - Story is somewhat similar to Maniratnam's classic "Mounaragam". In the sense, both movies are based on the point that when you got to spend some nice time with a person, whom you actually hate, you'll fall in love with him/her. Just some romantic moments are needed. While "Mounaraagam" goes on a serious note and has a subplot (Karthik- Revathy story), this goes on lighter note without any subplots.

Performances - Allu Arjun is adequate in his role. He does go overboard many times, but still he is decent on a whole. Genelia is superb. She got a role which demands lot of emotions and Genelia comes out with flying colors. Manoj Bajpai is good in his little cameo. Kishore as the revenge seeking police officer is nice. Deepak Shirke is fine as heroine's father. Tanikella Bharani, Brahmandam and hero's friends gang acted well.

Story-Screenplay-Direction - Story is nice though it slightly resembles "Mounaraagam". Screenplay is what made the difference. It is very gripping. Direction is superb except for the last scene. Karunakaran's strengths have always been cute romantic scenes, sweet nothings, nice montages and light heartedness and he sticks to his strengths even in this film and the output is just superb.

Music & Background Score - Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja is okay. "Egire Mabbulalona" is fantastic. All other songs are just about okay. But he covers it up with excellent background score. He takes the film to a whole new level with his exceptional background score. This is easily one of his best works in scoring department.

Others - Cinematography is nice. Editing is fine. Dialogues are nice.

Finally this is a nice romantic comedy you'd definitely love to watch. The plus points of this film are lighter vein nature, background score, Genelia's performance and feel good moments. This is a film that oozes positivity. Minus point is bad climax. If you could excuse the climax, you can enjoy this clean entertainer.

Beautiful plot that unites Bunny and Madhu who hated each other at first. Their acting is really superb - Arjun's carefree and funny style and Madhu's sweetness and cute fits of anger. I fell in love with the couple, they seem like 2 children being together. And it looks like their love conquered even Madhu's merciless father.

The songs and dances were fascinating and lively, I didn't want them to end. Both Madhu's and Bunny's friends were entertaining. Not to mention Brahmanandam with a once again silly but well-acted role, I never get tired of seeing him.

Also, I liked the role of the DCP Arvind who was very innocent but strong, and used his authority to unite his 2 "beautiful roses". 10/10 for this one

This movie bases itself on the tender love relationship between the hero and the heroine.Allu arjun comes to Hyderabad and starts working in pizza hut.He meets Genelia in a comic episode and then finally there is a confusion regarding a love letter which allows them to come closer to each h other. Genelia's father is a very popular politician who has rivalries as usual with quite a few people, major one being the new S.I. who comes to town. There is sequence which leads to incidents wherein the S.I. seeks revenge for the mistreatment meted out to him by the politician. The technical values of the movie are maintained very well as usual by the very talented Karunakaran. The songs are very very well shot and are simply a visual treat. The comedy part and the love relationship between the male and the female protagonists are depicted superbly. The mood of the movie changes from a very light hearted first half to a very sinister second half, wherein the hero constantly keeps facing newer and newer troubles.Manoj Bajpai acts in a very different role- to say a very comic one, which is quite different from his usual style and the director has excelled in getting good performance from this talented actor too, breaking all the language barriers if any. Go for the movie if are an ardent fan of any of the stars or even otherwise you will simply love it for the comedy and the songs.

Wow! That is not even enough to explain this terrific movie. The action of Allu Arjun was superb and his jokes were very hilarious. Genelia was very glamorous throughout the movie. Manoj Bajpai's role was humorous. I don't know if it was camera magic or what because both of them combined made such a cute couple. Indiaglitz (www.indiaglitz.com)called the movie "The combination of enjoyable fun, good music and easy emotions". Well I loved this movie a lot (not just because I am Allu Arjun's fan but the script, action, and the actors were just tremendous) and I hope you will love it as much as I did! So, go watch Happy as soon as possible!
