This episode and its other four parts have not aired on television since April 1-5, 1996, most likely due to the content of bombs and war, and the recent events in the news pertaining to war and violence. This is also the only week of post-1979 episodes not available to purchase on DVD or digital download.
The original broadcast of this series coincided with ABC's airing of the television film The Day After. It is often believed that these episodes were designed to help children cope with potential feelings brought on by the film; however, the timing of the movie and this series was purely coincidental.
