I love stand up comedy and I'm willing to give any comic a huge chance to win me over. Unfortunately, Chris Rock was so boring. I'm terrible at predicting jokes and so many punchlines were obvious and stale. I actually couldn't believe a comic god like Chris Rock would have such dull and standard punchlines.

The worst part of the special is the racism. I don't mind if it would be interesting and a new take on racism, but it was the played out: "I'm black so I can make fun of white people all day with no repercussions." How original...

I would not recommend this special to anyone.

(P.S. I am only harsh here because I love comedy and I want to give my honest opinion. I really didn't want to dislike this special.)

How do you resolve the issue of race relations...I know, lets turn it on its head and attack, which is what Chris Rock does in this show. "Let's shoot more white children"...Not People, Children! Hmm I get controversy, but that is usually associated with a degree of human understanding, this is just inflammatory.

Oh, and just a question...Has Chris Rock had surgery on his face?! For attention?! Hmm, that would make the rest of the results of this show more apparent!

This is another show about how bad white males are against anyone else... We beat, we abuse, we slander, we....well we do it all, except not all of us do, yet if I were to use this same theory regarding a black person, I would be a racist...Maybe I am just a dumb stupid re....Hang on, isn't that how this all started?!

Give it a miss, unless you like being slated as a white man for well just being white! (GO FIGURE!).

I have wait it for another Chris Rock standup for so, so long... I did not laugh, not once. Cliche after cliche after cliche, one bad joke after the other. Where is the Chris Rock of "Never Scared"? Racism, machism, and bad comebacks, that's all there is to it.

Chris was at the top of movies and stand up but over the years his acting and movies were good and funny. Now his acting career is trash but his stand up has always been great maybe close to Richard Pryor but after this hack performance I lost all my respect for him.Racism and totally mail in act. Must need money after his ex clean him out.

Quite disappointed with how racist this stand up is. Shame.

Starts off the show by saying more white children should be shot per year, then goes on to say that he's been preparing his kids to basically be scared of and hate white people since birth. He's a big part of the race problem in America and he's just stoking the fire with this bs. None of it was even remotely funny either. Watched for about 20 minutes before turning this crap off and didn't even get a smile out of me.

Horrible. Soap box for black millionaire. Such oppression you poor man. Don't waste your time on this crap

If the roles were reversed and a white man made these jokes, it would be civil war in the media.

He just wan't funny like he used to be. Seemed very forced like he was trying to remember how to be funny again.

I've been watching 15 minutes and so far the only jokes have been about perpetual black victimhood and the evil of white people. Just imagine a white stand up comic doing the opposite.

I love offensive stand up, the more f'd up, the better (here's looking at you, Doug Stanhope) but this special is just lazy. The same joke over and over again.

Chris Rock is not catching up with the times as much as the other comedians are. Plus, I felt like white kids that I have in my family and who did nothing wrong were threatened by this bitter old bully that needs divorce money. I am not surprised that he got divorced. I would not be able to live with this person or have him near my close beloved people. After meeting with the Obamas, this guy changed for the worst in my opinion. I don't even know if counselling, getting away from the Obamas, and such would work for him. All I do know is that I found myself not laughing the entire time I watch Chris Rock: Tamborine and actually stopped watching it midway. Chris Rock, if you are reading this, I am praying for you to stop copying people's work, get some help, and maybe come back again. If not, then I am sorry to inform you that I will stop watching you.

It's hard to shock me but he made it. Distasteful, hateful and not funny. I recommend to watch the first 15 minutes just to educate yourself about racism.

As mentioned in this title, I made this account for this review.

I, myself, am a white male and I absolutely love comedy and I can stand and enjoy the crudest and most fucked up comedy of them all. Don't get me wrong I can take jokes where someone teases white people. But I had to stop watching this special. It's extremely racist. I am all for equality between blacks and whites and all other racial and ethnicity groups, but this goes against equality, the special goes into the realm of slandering and demonizing white people. Like: "I wish more white kids would get shot", how the fuck can a comedian get away with saying that? If a white comedian said that about black kids, his career would be over and he would have serious lawsuits filed against him. This comedy special wasn't comedy and it was nothing close to special. It's offensive, not funny, and most importantly just sad because Chris Rock was one of my favorite comedians. But I have now lost all respect for him. It's just insane to think that he's up there suggesting that blacks need their own things "blacks need their own orientation" aren't you trying to fight for desegregation and fighting for unity? "I've been teaching my kids to prepare for the white man". Are you fucking serious? That would be like me saying: "I've been teaching my kids to prepare for the black men and all the despicable things they bring to society". I would never say something like that. I don't mind a little racism in comedy, but this wasn't comedy but rather straight up racism. Not funny at all. Go back to the drawing board Chris Rock.

This sort of media is absolutely not okay. Just like other people stand up for their rights, just thought I had to review this and say something because this is only fueling the fire for racism. Such a shame to see someone with a capable platform to make a difference, but only use it to be racist.

I hope anyone finds this review helpful. I would say watch the special just to get a taste of the unfunny and disturbing "jokes" made by Chris Rock. This isn't okay.

Netflix need to have a good look at themselves. What a clueless and out of touch has-been Rock is. Crawl back under what ever rock you were under and stay there. You weren't missed and won't be.

There's a thing in comedy called timing. Same goes for the real world. The same world Chris Rock left a long time ago.

Netflix and Rock allowed this be released on the same day seventeen people were shot dead in Florida. Fourteen of the kids were white.

I hope that was a good start for Chris Rock/Netflix and his wish for more white kids to be shot dead.

Come back Amy Schumer, all is forgiven. Yes, it really is that bad. Shockingly bad.

Begins the show calling for more cops to kill white kids, (like Daniel Shaver) because as you all know cops never kill white people. Talks about how he instills fear of the white man and paranoia into the hearts of his over privileged children. I feel for bad for Chris Rock he has totally lost his cool. This was cringier than Eminem´s parking garage freestyle. How many millions $$$ did Netflix pay for this? First that terrible Amy Schumer special and now this?, makes me think Netflix is trying to push some narrative... Move over Chris Rock you became a crabby sellout and are on your way to Cosby status.. So many new comedians killing it out there... Netflix you wasted your money, you could have had 20 killer comedians for what you paid for this ted talk.. shame.

He starts with that and it goes down hill from there. I think Netflix has to pay a little more attention to the material they're promoting. I love watching stand-up comedy, no matter how filthy. I also like that many of the older comedy greats are making comebacks on Netflix. But no matter what kind of horrible or bizarre stuff is going on in this country, some shit just isn't appropriate or funny!

Chris has lost something he never had. Thats the ability to work as an individual. He has always copied work from others right down to facial expressions and gestures. Now he is alone and his set here shows it. Its time to move on. Good bye

First things first: I really give it 10 stars because I liked it for 10 stars, not because it has so many undeserved 1 star reviews.

I'm a 32 year old, living in Bulgaria and a long time Chris fan. Most his movies are meh, but his shows were always entertaining as hell. It's the new kids on the block who are raised in this sissy as* era and can't handle some DARK humor.

Come on, if you can't handle sarcasm, you shouldn't watch this. Neither should you give it 1 star, that's so unfair to Chris's work. He's an outstanding comedian and touches very sore social problems as good as he does with everyday topics.

Calling out cops to shoot more white kids is as funny as it's absurd. And if people are too sensitive, that's their problem, they should not look for it in Chris's great show.

The 2nd part of the show gets really funny about the good ol' man vs woman, family life every day stuff and I really had the best laugh for years.

Highly recommended for all people that don't suffer from this decade's HYPERSENSITIVITY. Yeah, folks, it's a decease. Psychotherapy is thriving, if you haven't heard and it's not even shameful anymore to take care of your emotional health. 'cause you're livin' in the real world, last time I checked, people were stoned to death for havin' a beer, so I think you should be aware what place, time and age you live in.

10/10 and a must see.

I love stand up, but i couldn't stand this, the man is a racist. The tone, joke after joke, race, race, race. This is just not acceptable, this should not be acceptable. And the irony is that is a racist person at it's worst complaining about race discrimination and not realizing the bad this kind of thing do. Racism is wrong in any form, it creates divides. Some jokes were funny, most weren't but that isn't even the point, it's just a racist rant.

I lost all respect for Chris Rock after this one. Racism and killing white kids etc. It was one bad joke behind another one. Netflix should have NEVER aired this one. Complete fail!

What happened to Chris Rock? It feels like he went to Obamas to ask what is allowed and what isn't and then he went overboard with what is allowed. I used to quote him all the time. He was relatable, every man's comedian. Now he is a bitter old black man. I'm so sad we lost another comedian, but at least those that remained are better than ever. Comedy will survive thanks to those few that didn't kneel, bend over... ask for forgiveness for being funny and point. Chris should watch the documentary on O.J. cause it has the best explanation on how black people are mislead and given small, insignificant victories while losing major battles. He became the integral part of the problem. Come back to real comedy, Chris. You can do it. You are rich already. What have you got to lose?

I used to be a massive fan of Chris Rock, and thought he was one of the funniest comedy actors of the time. But I struggled to get to the half-way point of this stand-up.

Us Brits usually love a bit of warped or controversial humour, but this was just not that funny at all. My main gripe was the racist content, funny at first but it seemed a bit repetitive after a while and just got annoying.

If it was a white comedian telling the jokes in the same context, I would love to see the reviews on here!

Just the wrong way. He went from a real eye opening first HBO special where his truth based insightfulness gave us humor and realness and a ton of laughter, to now, unfunny, racist material based on untruths. and really just outrageous hate.

Apparently Netflix thought it was great to publish this special where Chris Rock calls for equal killings of white people and he wants to see more white women crying over their dead children. As if, any children should be killed and anyone actually calls for that.

What a shame.

After 10 minutes of "I wish cops would kill more white children", "guns are bad", "Black kids need their own segregated pep rallies to prepare them for the white man's world" I turned it off. Dave Chappell makes arguments for the Black Man's Struggle and it doesn't come across as accusatory, self pitying or hateful. Chris Rock is part of the problem with race in this society, not helping it.

I love Cris, loved his passed shows, they were all brilliant. What the heck happened?? I was waiting for some good stuff, but it never arrived. the material was dull and predictable. With lines like "cops need to kill more white guys" and "we need more bullies in school" I was ready to turn it off at that point. Very disappointed.

Just pure racism against white people. I have nothing against any race but thats over the line.
