The lead actors went through intense training to prepare for their roles in Nameless. Christopher Price who plays Pale, underwent several months of intense weight training, became deadly accurate with the throwing knives his character uses, and learned 90% of his lines in both Russian and Afrikaans. Hayley Maher spent several months undergoing Fight training and learned to speak Afrikaans for her role as Six.
Despite never been seen on screen, Christopher Price insisted on carrying a real special forces knife in a holster at his hip, to ground him deeper in the role of Pale. In a few of the scenes, you can see his hand instinctively rest near the knife or on the pommel of the knife.
Both Director Michael Samer and Actor Anthony Darvall insisted on using a real knife for the scene where Wedge is slammed into the bar and threatened, as it heightened the authentic look of fear in Wedge's eyes.
