"this is my front-garden and i am still feeling responsible" schimanski is living in a typical tower-block in Germany. in one night there is a car burning in the lot in front of his house. an employee from the job-centre is knocked down and burnt in the car. schimanski is hanging into the enquires of his old partners "hunger" and "hänschen".

I've seen nearly all titles of schimanski and tatort with götz george. i think this is one of the best thriller I've seen in my life. not because of bombastic fire , car chasing a.s.o. no, this thriller is coming silent and keen. it is a story of cracked dreams, a line between hope and desperation.

excellent and authentic acting, flawless script and a WONDERFUL soundtrack which makes the film to what it is:one of the best German movies I've ever seen.
