The Pepsi-Cola Playhouse Mungahra (1953–1955) Online

A Londoner returns from a South Seas fortune-hunting expedition minus his son-in-law who suffered a tragic end. A nervous wreck, the man screams around the clock about "the third day" and a man named "Mungahra." Mungahra was the expedition's native guide who, before dying, placed a curse on the greedy, self-serving Englishman who treated him like a savage.

One more time, you have here a very good story which should have been made for the big screen instead of this so short episode. Read the topic and you'll get what I mean. You feel here the potential this tale has, the characters need more development but, unfortunately, with only twenty four minutes, it's useless. It's a shame because this story is taut, full of suspense but without mystery. Don't miss the ending not so foreseeable.

I don't know the director nor the actors. PEPSI COLA PLAYHOUSE gave us really good stories. I don't know how many of them still emerge after all those years.
